REVIEW: Dear Jane by Kendall Ryan

Dear Jane

Blurb

I broke her heart ten years ago and left town.

She hates me, and rightly so. It doesn’t matter that the rest of the country loves me, that I’m a starting quarterback with a multimillion-dollar contract. Because when I look in the mirror, all I see is a failure who was too young—and too afraid—to fight for what I wanted.

But I’m not that guy anymore, and all I need is one shot to convince her.

He has no idea what happened after he left. And now I’m supposed to work alongside him like we don’t have this huge, messy history?

But I’m older now, wiser, and I won’t let anything stand in my way of doing a good job for this league. Not even one overpaid, arrogant player who thinks we’re going to kiss and make up.

News flash, buddy: I am over you.

Quotes

  • “The world just feels so much more right with her in my arms.”
  • “It’s like all the air’s been sucked from the room, and I can’t even speak.”
  • ” It pains me to say it, but Weston Chase looks damn good. Tall. Insanely fit. Cocky swagger.”
  • ” I wish this moment would never end, that we could frozen here and forget about reality, about our messy past.”

Review

Dear Jane is an adorable and steamy second chance sports romance. Now I’m already a sucker for sports romances and this one is no exception.

Jane is the assistant manager to a football where dad also coaches. She’s hardworking and sassy. She’s also had a hard past starting with heartbreak. She now has to come face to face with her past and the one who broke her heart many years ago. Will she be able to forgive him? Or are old wounds to deep to heal.

Weston is a sexy and sweet quarterback. He’s passionate about football and puts its over everything — even Jane at one point. After some issues went down with his old team he decided to start over on a new one. Becoming the starting quarterback on the same team that Jane – the girl who heart he broke- works for. Will be able to right his wrong doings? Or is it all just a lost cause?

These two were once high school sweethearts about ten years ago. Being each other’s firsts in many ways. But it all ended in heartbreak. They now reunite and all those heartbreaking memories seem to be rushing back opening old wounds. Can they make it work a second time or is it too little to late?

This was a swoon worthy read. Once I started reading this I just couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait to read whatever Kendall Ryan comes out with next.
